Jason Mraz - I'm Yours Makes History With 71 Weeks On The Billboard Hot 100 Chart

I'm Yours, the song that became mainstay of the singer and songwriter Jason Mraz, makes a new history as the hit single that has longest rotated in the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 71 weeks. This is a new record for 51 years stand of Billboard Hot 100.

Mraz's I'm Yours, first entered the chart in May 2008 even though the single was never rank first. Peak of the charts reached only on the sixth position on 6 September 2008. Previous record holder was LeAnn Rimes with the song "How Do I Live", which appear in the late 1990s. This single could survive for 69 weeks.

"The song was really born into the crowd. ... I noticed almost an immediate response to it and people really celebrated in a different way during that song," Mraz said. "And then by having those three years to jam to the song, it gave us the opportunity to do something simple, yet spirited" in the studio.

In another interview opportunity, Mraz ever analyze why the song can be accepted by so many people. "Maybe because the song has no genres," he said.

The 32-year-old singer has spent two years of his life traveling around the world to promote the latest album "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things." Jason Mraz's tours is also documented in the CD / DVD "Jason Mraz' Beautiful Mess - Live from Earth," that will be released on November 10th.

"I salute to his struggle on the street. Because reggae music is the street music and opens. He remains undaunted to keep on work. We lost, and he always invites laughter," Ras Muhamad said.

Is it worthy if Mbah Surip said as pioneer of reggae? Ras shook his head. "If about that, I agree more on fact that he is a senior of reggae. Because I see the first who fight for reggae music in Indonesia is Tonny Qiub as pioneer," he concluded.

Kangen Band Has Disbanded?

Kangen BandThe rumors about Kangen Band has disband because from several times of their shows, one of the main personel and also the guitarist of this pop-genre band, Dodi, never took to appear. But apparently the issue is not correct at all.

"His wife was on contraction for their second child. But it has not been born yet, he was accompanied his wife ," says vocalist of Kangen Band, Andika when met at the Studio Penta, Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta.

Andika told, Dodi's wife pregnancy has reached 8 months. Thus, possibly for a month Dodi will not joins the shows with Kangen Band. Issues of the disperse of Kangen Band, according to Andika has make them uncomfortable. "Yes we thought about that when we were hang out. But it's ok, the rumors will be disappears by it self," he said.

Without the presence of Dodi, they are determined to keep the solidity of Kangen Band. "Hopefully we can be eternal until whenever," Andika said.

Mbah Surip's 'Tak Gendong' Reaped Success With Billions Of Rupiah

On a glance overview there's nothing special from the song Tak Gendong. The lyric is simple, "Tak gendong ke mana-mana, tak gendong ke mana-mana" (eng: To pickaback everywhere, to pickaback everywhere), "Enak toh, Enak toh" (Isn't it pleasant, Isn't it pleasant). What a lyric meant, for sure.


So where does Mbah Surip got the idea of creating the song?

"The idea originally came when Mbah Surip worked for the oil drilling company in the United States. If I had a holiday I used to went down under the bridges of California. I see how the cooperation between the people there and in Indonesia is almost the same. There is a gotong royong (conception of mutual aid)," Mbah Surip said who was starting his career as a street musician.

Legendary performer and World's Pop Music Icon Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50. Michael Jackson who was known as 'King of Pop' died on Thursday afternoon at a hospital in Los Angeles. Debra Opri, a former of Jackson family law adviser, has confirmed the death of Michael Jackson after some media reported that Jacko, other name of Michael Jackson had fallen into a coma.

Jacko reported has been picked up by an ambulance at 12:30 local time. Michael Jackson then taken to UCLA Medical Center, until finally this former of Jackson Five member died at 3:15 pm.

In a brief news conference, the performer's brother, Jermaine Jackson, said he was pronounced dead in hospital at 2:26 p.m. PT. It's believed Jackson suffered cardiac arrest at his home, but Jermaine Jackson said an autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death.

A press conference likely will also be held on Thursday local time at the hospital where Michael Jackson died. There, the Michael Jackson's fans will gather to give honor and make some tributes to this all time legend.

Previously, Michael Jackson had been preparing and rehearsing hard for what was to be his greatest comeback in world music industry. He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at London's O2 arena, with the first set for July 13.

Frank DiLeo, Jackson's manager, told the Los Angeles Times that at the end of a rehearsal the night before his death, Jackson departed the stage very happy about the progress of the show.

"He just told me how happy he was and that things were finally working out the way he wanted," he said.

Johnny Caswell, a principal at Centerstaging, where Jackson rehearsed for the concerts, told the Times that Jackson was "very frail" but was working hard, putting in six-hour, four-day weeks to prepare.

Britney Spears To Tour Australia In November 2009

This Britney's tour in Australia will be the first time in her career and will be titled The Circus Starring Britney Spears. This Circus tour will organized by Britney Spears in association with Dainty Consolidated Entertainment.

The show has a cast of 44 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats, and will tour Australia with 34 trucks carrying about 60 tonnes of equipment.

Spears, 27 year-old, will play six concerts in four cities and beginning in Perth on November 6 before wrapping up in Brisbane on November 24, the Britney Spears's website said. "I've wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it's finally happening," Spears said.

Until now Britney Spears become one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date she has sold in excess of 63 million albums worldwide: ...Baby One More Time (1999); Oops!... I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003) and Blackout (2007).
